About: …it’s all about the food. Since before most of us can remember, our first love (not including people) was food, and we’d cry and cry until it was put in our face. As we grew up, fled the nest, and ventured far from home, the thing we missed most was the smell and taste of our favorite home cooked meal. We all take what we have for granted until it’s gone. For me it all started back at Christmas break 1992…

I quickly put on my freshman twenty-plus pounds from a strict diet of pizza, beer and more pizza at Arizona State. Immediately I began taking notes on how my father cooked his fantastic native version of Persian food. Within the year, I began cooking for myself as I unexpectedly embarked upon my life long stint in the food service industry. My first attempt at cooking Persian style rice was an abomination of which I can unfortunately still taste and smell. Thankfully practice makes perfect.

Shortly there after, I was hosting dinner parties of eight. It was then that I began to wow my guests with emulations of my father’s cooking and of those from the southwestern restaurant, where I now worked. As word of my cooking abilities and the size of dinner parties grew, I had to find a way to make the same amount of food serve more people. And thus the fusion of Persian and Southwestern cuisine was forever forged inside the burrito…

Ten years later, after countless successful dinner parties and ideas of opening a restaurant of my own, the trigger has been pulled! I now proudly bestow upon y’all the birth of Sheik Burritos n Kabobs and Chic Catering! No longer will the kind people of the south struggle to find a decent meal at an indecent hour! No longer will fast-food be synonymous with unhealthy dog-food! No longer will gourmet food take hours of your time, max out your credit card, or require you to wear a shirt and tie!

Our mission is to consistently guarantee affordable, tasty, healthy, quality food in quantity at every meal. We will do this using fresh, local, organic products cooked in a slow-food method and sold in a uniquely upbeat fast-food manner. EAT… says The Chic Sheik!!!
