Two Upcoming Street Food 101 Workshops

March 5, 2018 (Savannah, GA) and March 12, 2018 (Atlanta, GA)

Street Food 101 is an in-depth workshop designed to guide you through becoming a food truck entrepreneur:

  • Discussions geared towards understanding daily operations

  • Overview of rules & regulations governing food trucks in our community

  • Marketing your food truck with social media & engaging your supporters

  • An in-depth review of how to achieve profitability through festivals, special events, and catering opportunities.

 

During the workshop, Small Business Attorney and ASFC President Greg Smith will walk you through the permitting maze facing mobile vendors in the State of Georgia and will answer your questions in an engaging and informative setting.

Additionally, you will hear from the ASFC team about key operational issues facing new vendors, such as securing sales opportunities, staffing and menu-selection, and marketing and social media usage.

Once you complete our Street Food 101 workshop you’ll be prepared to create a business model for your food truck, understand the challenges food truck entrepreneurs face, and the permitting process for getting started.

Both the Macon course and the Atlanta course will cover similar materials and are suitable for vendors operating throughout the State of Georgia.

 

Included with your tuition are all course materials and a copy of Atlanta Street Food Guidebook, a $30 value.

Greg Smith is the President of the Atlanta Street Food Coalition and a practicing attorney with Conger and Smith in Bainbridge, Georgia.

Jim Shumake is the Managing Partner of the Atlanta Street Food Coalition and is also the founder of Food O Rama Events.

Scott Smallwood is the Director of Marketing and Media with the Southern Environmental Law Center.
