Street Food 101 is an in-depth workshop designed to guide you through becoming a food truck entrepreneur:

  • Discussions geared towards understanding daily operations

  • Overview of rules & regulations governing food trucks in our community

  • Marketing your food truck with social media & engaging your supporters

  • An in-depth review of how to achieve profitability through festivals, special events, and catering opportunities.

During the workshop, Small Business Attorney and ASFC President Greg Smith will walk you through the permitting maze facing mobile vendors in the State of Georgia and will answer your questions in an engaging and informative setting.

Additionally, Scott Smallwood will provide insights on how to use social medial to effectively market your business to your customer base.

This workshop will also include, for the first time, a presentation from Jim Shumake, a former food truck operator and current festival promoter about how to maintain profitability through the hectic festival season in Atlanta.

Once you complete our Street Food 101 workshop you’ll be prepared to create a business model for your food truck, understand the challenges food truck entrepreneurs face, and the permitting process for getting started.

Included with your tuition are all course materials and a copy of Atlanta Street Food Guidebook, a $30 value.
